Case Hardened Pattern Index — Blue Gem Seeds

Case Hardened skins have a titanium-nitride multicolour finish where pattern seed determines which part of the gradient wraps the weapon. High-blue patterns ("blue gems") on the AK-47 and knives command 10-100× the base price. The gold standard for the AK-47 is pattern 661.

Tier 1 — Blue Gem (AK-47)

Tier 1

Near-complete blue coverage on the top/magwell. Pattern 661 is the most famous — flat blue top with deep saturation.

Tier 2 — Blue Top

Tier 2

Significant blue on the top and either side, with gold/purple accents. Still a premium pattern but trades 5-15× base.

Tier 3

Blue dominant on the visible side in-game. Still trades above base but varies by wear and float.

Knife Case Hardened patterns use a different index — the AK-47 tier list does not transfer directly.
Float matters less than pattern for Case Hardened — a Field-Tested blue gem sells for more than a Factory New base pattern.
